why Dorothy Snot?

I founded Dorothy Snot when I started having serious trouble in choosing a nursery school for my 3-year old daughter Nefeli!

Of course, this does not mean Athens has no great pre-school education - on the contrary. But it was hard to find something close to my own criteria:
  • artistic environment
  • classy building with high living & security standards
  • respect-to-kids'-personality approach
  • creativity oriented education
  • inspiring & confident teachers
and all of that, downtown!

I was lucky enough to find this wonderful old mansion, just by the heart of the city, and to transform it into a dream land for children. Every creation-based activity has room to grow in Dorothy's place!

Here we love playing, we love arts (ok, as classical pianist I vote just a little more for music!!), we love to build our own worlds. We respect in full kids' needs, we encourage creativity, we appreciate the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach in pre-school education (but we do not want to imitate or to pretend anybody!).

Our aim is to grow happy, creative and confident to express themselves kids, while inspiring at the same time security and satisfaction to the parents. And, above all, we want everyone to enjoy a great time when associating Dorothy Snot!

I would be most glad to welcome you any time in school and talk about our children and their future. We have great coffee and nice cookies too!
